Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Job description:
The Quality Control Specialist I is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards and specifications within our production facility. This role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring production processes to ensure compliance with both company and customer requirements. The specialist works closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, maintain accurate documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is expected to run from May through the end of August, with the potential to become a permanent role.
Responsibilities:
* Perform inspections and testing on incoming materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
* Identify defects or deviations and communicate findings to the appropriate teams
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to investigate and resolve issues
* Approve or reject materials and products based on established quality standards
* Maintain accurate records and enter data into spreadsheets and databases
* Pull and manage inventory manually or using a forklift
* Update and maintain quality procedures as needed
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain 6S standards within assigned areas
Qualifications:
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Ability to follow and enforce fulfillment guidelines and best practices
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred:
* Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role
* Familiarity with print production software and equipment (e.g., Fiery Command Work Station, Adobe Creative Suite)
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Ability to stand for extended periods
