Quality Control Specialist I

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist I to join our team in Bradenton, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks, identify defects, and document inspection results.
  • Approve or reject materials and products based on established specifications.
  • Collaborate with production teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate quality records using spreadsheets and company databases.
  • Pull inventory manually or with a forklift as needed.
  • Assist in updating quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and 6S activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
  • Experience with print production software, including Fiery Command Work Station and Adobe Creative Suite, is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
