Quality Control Specialist I
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist I to join our team in Bradenton, FL. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, work-in-process, and finished products to ensure they meet company and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities- Inspect incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform quality checks, identify defects, and document inspection results.
- Approve or reject materials and products based on established specifications.
- Collaborate with production teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate quality records using spreadsheets and company databases.
- Pull inventory manually or with a forklift as needed.
- Assist in updating quality procedures and work instructions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and 6S activities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in quality control, quality assurance, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
- Experience with print production software, including Fiery Command Work Station and Adobe Creative Suite, is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production and warehouse environment.
