Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Bright View’s products and services while serving as a brand ambassador. This role builds strong connections with people and communities by delivering best-in-class landscaping services.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire new commercial customers through door-to-door sales, direct marketing, and other prospecting activities, including lead generation and conversion.
  • Conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with new prospective customers to identify opportunities.
  • Partner with operational partners to support contract negotiations and pricing schedules.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships to drive future sales.
  • Stay informed about competitor activities within the assigned territory; communicate competitive pricing changes, marketing directives, or door-to-door sales tactics to management.
  • Successfully complete all required training programs.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior sales experience in prospecting, cold calling, or direct sales
  • Motivated and ambitious, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Resilient with the ability to handle rejection and persist through challenges
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude toward sales and customer interactions
  • Adaptable to changing environments and client needs, eager to learn and grow
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and persuasively engage potential customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain lasting customer and colleague relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Physical Demands / Requirements
  • Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, cell phone, and sales programs/tools
  • Position is a combination of mobile and sedentary work; must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods
  • Customarily and regularly spends more than half of the time working away from Bright View’s places of business, selling and obtaining orders or contracts for Bright View’s services
  • Ability to travel by car, train, and plane
  • Position needs to be able to traverse uneven grounds and walk on job sites with clients and branch teams for periods of time up to 4 hours
Work Environment
  • Works both indoors and outdoors
  • Field-based position, a combination of office and customer-facing
