Job Title
The Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance) is a direct-sales role focused on growing and retaining a book of business by driving new sales, cross‑selling, and creating community relationships.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a proactive sales professional to generate new business, build rapport with customers, and expand our portfolio of auto, life, and supplemental products through in‑person visits, marketing calls, and strategic community outreach.
Responsibilities- Drive profitable growth by acquiring new customers and cross‑selling existing ones for auto, life, auto club, and roadside assistance products.
- Build and maintain a strong book of business through walk‑in sales, marketing calls, and community outreach.
- Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain a physical presence in retail locations.
- Initiate outbound calling to a target customer base and monitor competitor activity to recommend market‑positioning initiatives.
- Collaborate with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping of customer payments, receipts, and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- 0–2 years of experience in direct sales.
- Preferred P&C licensing, or ability to obtain required licensure within 90 days of hire.
- Must possess authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Consistently closes sales of insurance and ancillary products.
- Exceeds sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
- Effective communicator with strong customer service and persuasion skills.
- Adaptable, academically oriented, and demonstrates business integrity.
- Time management and social orientation to build relationships within the locality.
Base hourly rate of $20.00 plus an uncapped monthly incentive. Additional benefits include 20 days of PTO per year, 6 paid holidays, medical/dental/vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and a pension plan.
