Job Overview:

Performs the duties of Security Officer to maintain the safety and security of the hospital.

General Responsibilities:

* Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.

* Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients, and visitors.

* Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.

* Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.

* Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* High school education or GED equivalent.

* Must be able to handle stressful situations

* Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting

* Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.

* BLS within 90 days of hire.

* CPI within 90 days of hire.

* Class D Security License required.
