Position Details

• Title: Security Guard (Class D License)
• Employment Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Nights (11pm-7am)

The medical staff includes more than 750 physicians and allied health professionals who practice in a wide range of specialties.

Services include emergency services, freestanding emergency department, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology and wound care.

Performs the duties of Security Officer to maintain the safety and security of the hospital.

• Secures the premises from unauthorized entry.
• Provides support and assistance, both physical and psychological, to staff, patients and visitors.
• Prepares and submits reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Utilizes communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations.
• Must have 1 year experience as a security officer or related position in an acute care setting.
• Certification for Safety and Security Procedures IAHSS training required within 90 days of hire.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI within 90 days of hire.
• Class D Security License required.
