Role OverviewWoodard & Curran is seeking a Collection System Operator in Bradenton, FL. The ideal candidate will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of sewer collection system conveyance piping, valves, miscellaneous fitting and other assigned assets.
This position is eligible for a $1,000.00 sign‑on bonus. Responsibilities- Perform all routine, preventive and corrective maintenance assignments as assigned by the project's maintenance and repair program.
- Operate equipment for the rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system.
- Respond to and resolve customer complaints.
- Perform record‑keeping/data entry; record daily readings of equipment and processes.
- Cleans and maintains facilities buildings and grounds.
- Repairs yards following maintenance procedures.
- Monitor inventory of parts, supplies and chemicals.
- Communicate with co‑workers on processes and job activities.
- Assist in the inspection processes of sewer lines and manholes.
- Assist in the maintenance and operations of the CCTV inspection system.
- Occasionally assist in the location of utility lines.
- Assist in Asset Management and Maintenance Programs.
- Repair and maintain sewer lines, manholes and lift stations.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Monday – Friday, 1st shift. Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the seasonal demands.
- Availability for standby duty and the ability to be “on‑call,” working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must have high school diploma or educational equivalent.
- Requires the ability to carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Must have the ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees.
- A valid Florida Class “C” Collection System license is required.
- Must be willing to work schedules which may include weekend or holiday duty, carry a company‑provided telephone, and be willing to respond to emergencies at any time.
- Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
- Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre‑placement physical and drug screen before employment.
