Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and performing preventive maintenance to optimize system performance. The Technician collaborates with management and team members to execute service calls, manage resources, and support operational needs.

Adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with customers and colleagues are essential to ensure reliable and efficient facility services.

About the team: The Facilities Services team ensures the reliable operation of essential building systems, including HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and equipment, supporting smooth store functions. The team focuses on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and quality repairs while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Members respond promptly to operational needs and collaborate effectively to maintain safe, efficient environments for associates and customers. • Install,configure,andcalibrateHVACandrefrigerationsystems,includingductwork,control panels,andbuildingpneumatics.
• Interpretlayoutplansandschematicstoensureaccuratesystemsetupandcompliancewithbuildingcodes.
• Diagnoseandresolvemechanical,electrical,and refrigerant-relatedissuesincommercialandindustrialsystems.
• Performpreventivemaintenancetoextendequipmentlifeandminimizedowntime.
• Maintainandrepairrefrigerationunitssuchasracks,walk-ins,andreach-ins.
• Conductinspectionsandrepairsfollowingfederal,state,andlocalHVAC/Rregulationsandsafetyprotocols.

Leadandmentorfieldteamsontechnicalproceduresandsafetypractices.

• Manageservicecalls,coordinatewithexternalproviders,andmaintainaccuratedocumentation.

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Competence in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with teams and customers.
• Capability to lead and mentor technicians while managing escalated service issues effectively.
