At IMG Academy, the Mental Performance Coach, Summer 2026 team provides the global standard of mental performance to youth athletes and coaches, mutually invests in each other, and prioritizes supporting and advancing the field of sport psychology.

• Ability to connect with and inspire athletes across a variety of ages and levels.
• Develop and deliver practical, educational, entertaining, and age‑appropriate content on mental performance topics (e.g., confidence, focus, handling pressure) for groups of various sizes.
• Conduct small group activity‑based workshops and facilitate activities related to perceptual‑cognitive skills.
• Collaborate with other mental performance coaches on delivery and departmental projects/initiatives (as needed).
• Collaborate with other IMG Athletic and Personal Development (APD) divisions:
  Strength & Conditioning, Performance Nutrition, Leadership, Sport Science, Sports Medicine, and Operations staff.
• Record and review mental sessions conducted with a supervisor.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of completed master’s degree in sport psychology or related field upon commencement of position.
• Experience in mental performance and/or coaching.
• Strong work ethic and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• The ability to connect well with the younger athlete and be credible across IMG Academy’s 8 sports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced organization.
• Being open and responsive to feedback.
• Strong classroom management skills to facilitate a conducive learning environment.
• Strong public speaking skills.

• Certified Mental Performance Consultant® (CMPC) or in pursuit of certification.
• Playing, coaching, or managing experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

• Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or weights in excess of 40 pounds.
• Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required.
• Requires a background check upon offer.
• Requires a drug test upon offer.
