Position: Office Manager - Residence Life & Housing

Office Manager – Office of Residence Life and Housing

Pitt‑Bradford welcomes applications for the Office Manager position in the Office of Residence Life and Housing. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs/Director of Residence Life and Housing, this full‑time role serves as the primary point of contact in person, by phone, and by email for students, families, and guests. The Office Manager is responsible for daily office operations and for supporting the department’s professional and student staff.

Job Summary

Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.

Essential Functions
  • Serves as the front‑facing point of contact for the day‑to‑day operations of the housing office.
  • Provides clerical, customer service, and computer support for the office, including word processing, reception,  creation, and generating reports and rosters.
  • Maintains confidential information about residential students, including room assignments, meal plans, and housing applications/contracts.
  • Tracks spending, purchases department needs, and reconciles budget for final review, while helping to maintain vendor relationships.
Requirements
  • Associate’s degree and five years of relevant work experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced computer literacy with spreadsheet and database experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi‑task.
  • Experience with budget management, account reconciliation, and report creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people and at all levels.
