Manufacturing Engineer - Bradford, NY
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: 80, DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hour work week
This Manufacturing Engineer will be focused on making the manufacturing process run more efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining high product quality.
Responsibilities- Process Development: Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve efficiency and quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Production Support: Provide day-to-day support to the production team, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Cost Reduction: Analyze manufacturing costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or performance.
- Equipment Management: Evaluate, specify, and procure new manufacturing equipment and tools. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of existing equipment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, and production reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, to ensure smooth product development and production processes.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, machining, forming, welding, assembly, and/or industrial coating.
- Demonstrated experience improving manufacturing processes, increasing production efficiency, and resolving production-related issues.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar design programs.
- Ability to work in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, collaborating closely with production personnel and supporting manufacturing equipment and processes.
