Academics are working on a fantastic opportunity for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our pool of welcoming primary schools in the Bradford area.

Additional Info:

You will be supporting a number of local primary schools to provide a nurturing, engaging and inclusive EYFS environment, where early development and learning through play are a strong priority.

This role involves working with children in Nursery and Reception, both in group settings and on a 1:1 basis, supporting early learning, social development and school readiness.

Schools may offer excellent EYFS facilities, including:

Well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning environments

Play-based and child-led learning areas

Support from experienced EYFS Leads and SENCo

Intervention spaces for early language, phonics and fine motor development

This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and making a positive impact during a child's most important developmental stage.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children across the EYFS curriculum through play-based learning

Assist with early phonics, numeracy and communication development

Promote positive behaviour, routine and independence

Support children during transitions, outdoor learning and daily activities

Work collaboratively with teachers and EYFS staff

Build warm, positive relationships with children and staff

Person Specification / Requirements:

Previous EYFS experience preferred but not essential

Caring, patient and enthusiastic with a nurturing approach

Understanding of child development in the early years

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn

Passionate about helping young children grow academically, socially and emotionally
