Are you an experienced Senior Social Worker ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs?
We're recruiting on behalf of Bradford Children and Families Trust (BCFT) for a collective Children in Care recruitment campaign. Successful candidates will be interviewed and placed into a suitable team across the service by Service Managers.
The RoleYou’ll work with children in care and families facing complex safeguarding challenges, delivering high-quality social work that protects and promotes children's welfare.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a complex caseload of children and families.
- Undertaking safeguarding investigations and preventative work to reduce risk of harm.
- Completing robust assessments, care planning and reviews.
- Working in multi-agency environments with partners across statutory and voluntary sectors.
- Preparing court reports and giving evidence where required.
- Supporting and mentoring newly qualified social workers and students.
- Leading and contributing to multi-disciplinary meetings and care planning processes.
- Ensuring high-quality case recording and risk assessment.
We're looking for a confident, resilient practitioner who can work effectively in complex, high-risk situations.
You must have:
- Level 3 Senior Social Worker qualification
- Minimum 3 years' experience post-AYSE
- Strong experience working with children with complex needs and safeguarding concerns
- A recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent)
- Experience presenting evidence in court and preparing legal documentation
- Excellent assessment, decision-making and multi-agency working skills
- Competitive £35 per hour rate
