Secondary Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Yorkshire and Humber/ contract / £90 - 105 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Bradford, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant. The school supports students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, including young people with a range of SEND needs, with a focus on providing an inclusive learning environment where students can develop their confidence, independence and academic abilities.

The school is looking to take on a flexible Secondary Teaching Assistant for day-to-day supply cover, with an immediate start available. The successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will be responsible for providing 1:1 SEND support, assisting students with classroom activities, delivering targeted interventions and working closely with teaching staff to ensure students remain engaged and supported throughout their learning.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 within a UK secondary school

Experience providing 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND

A good understanding of inclusive teaching strategies, positive behaviour management and individual learning plans

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and teaching staff

A patient, resilient and adaptable approach, with a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional learning needs
