Skilled Labourer (SSSTS)

Location: St Luke's Hospital & Bradford Royal Infirmary

Contract Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Skilled Labourer with a SSSTS certification to support and oversee the delivery of a major project across two key healthcare sites:
Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) and St Luke's Hospital (SLH).

This project involves the installation and oversight of approximately 1,200 solar panels at BRI and 800 panels at SLH, contributing to significant sustainability and energy-efficiency improvements across the trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day delivery of a large-scale Solar PV installation project.
  • Provide technical assistance where required, ensuring high-quality workmanship across all installation activities.
  • Undertake regular quality checks and assist in maintaining site compliance, safety standards, and project timelines.
  • Liaise with contractors, supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth and effective site operations.
  • Travel between St Luke's Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary as required (base location: St Luke's Hospital).
  • Assist in coordinating site activities in accordance with SSSTS and site safety requirements.

Requirements

  • SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) certification - essential.
  • Previous experience in construction, renewables, or large-scale installation projects.
  • Strong understanding of site safety, quality assurance, and technical fundamentals.
  • Full UK driving licence or the ability to travel between sites as needed.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
