My client is on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer to join the team as an electrically bias Maintenance Technician. The role involves carrying out preventive maintenance (PPM) within the warehouse facility based in Bradford.

• Maintain equipment such as balers, compactors, roller shutter doors and canteen equipment.
• Maintain and repair sprinkler systems and associated equipment.
• Test, repair fire alarms, emergency lighting and conduct portable appliance testing.
• Maintain and update records in a timely manner.
• Efficiently manage breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs quickly on site equipment to minimise production losses.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of ventilation and air conditioning plant (excluding the refrigeration component).
• Provide first response to fire alarms (full training given on site).
• On call 1 week in 5 (building maintenance).

• Recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, preferably with mechanical experience.
• City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical engineering (Course 2380 18th Edition) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in installation, fault finding and repair of electrical equipment in an industrial or commercial environment.

• £40K salary.
• On call standby payment (£25 days/£50 weekend, x1.5 when called out).
• Late shift – 12pm to 8pm (flexible start and finish times).
• 29 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more holiday).
• Annual bonus.
• Pension matched up to 5%.
