DR Newitt Engineering & Manufacturing are currently recruiting for an experienced
Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join a busy engineering and facilities environment based in the Hounslow / Heathrow area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for a long-term position working on a major commercial site, carrying out a mixture of
planned preventative maintenance, electrical inspections and reactive repairs
.

The Role

Working as part of an established engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems across the site, ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, compliant and operational.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance in line with site schedules.
  • Responding to electrical faults and carrying out reactive repairs.
  • Completing electrical safety checks and routine inspections.
  • Supporting preventative maintenance programmes and identifying potential issues.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health & safety and statutory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation using IT systems.
  • Working effectively as part of a wider engineering and facilities team.
  • Providing a professional service while working to agreed maintenance schedules and SLAs.
The Candidate

We are looking for a qualified electrician with a strong maintenance background and the ability to work confidently in a busy site environment.

You should have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent electrical qualification.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Previous experience in facilities management, electrical maintenance or mobile maintenance.
  • Construction-sector experience would be advantageous.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
