We are looking for a skilled Technical Engineer – Lab IT to support and lead the migration of GxP lab systems from Windows 7 to Windows 10 in a regulated laboratory environment. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Windows OS migrations, GxP compliance, lab systems support, troubleshooting, validation documentation, and collaboration with IT, QA, and laboratory teams. Experience working in pharmaceutical or regulated environments along with knowledge of deployment tools and Power Shell scripting is highly preferred.

Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Analyst to lead the migration of GxP lab systems from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system migrations, particularly within regulated environments, and a strong understanding of GxP compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute migration activities for transitioning GxP lab systems from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
  • Conduct system assessments to identify compatibility issues and ensure all lab applications and instruments are supported on Windows 10.
  • Ensure all migration activities comply with GxP regulations and maintain system validation throughout the process.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the migration process to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, including validation protocols, test scripts, and user manuals.
  • Train lab personnel on new system features and changes post-migration to ensure seamless adoption and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, QA, and lab teams to coordinate migration activities and resolve issues as they arise.
Mandatory

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in system migrations, with a focus on Windows operating systems and GxP environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows 7 and Windows 10 environments.
  • Knowledge of GxP compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting lab systems and laboratory instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or MCSE.
  • Familiarity with automated deployment tools and scripting languages such as Power Shell.
