E. North St., Bradley, IL.
- Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Back End Maintainer responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasks.
- Able to read and write process form instructions and data in reports.
- Successfully pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
- Previous mechanical experience and ability to adjust machines to maintain quality to customer specifications (e.g., formal coursework; relevant experience).
- Knowledge of can operation (desired).
- Ability to judge quality of can (desired).
- Work safely and maintain good safety procedures.
- Follow all JHA’s and SOP’s.
- Maintain an excellent absenteeism and tardiness record.
- Demonstrate problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Communicate effectively with co‑workers and supervision (written and verbal).
- Self‑motivation to maintain correct process.
- Basic hand tools required to start job and obtain other required tools within three months after qualification period concludes.
- Perform basic computer operations (e.g., navigation screens; accessing programs).
- Lift up to 50 pounds manually using proper lifting techniques.
- Keep work area orderly in keeping with 6S principles (Sort, Set in place, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
Minimum Requirements
- High School Education/GED.
- 2–3 years experience with computer skills in inspecting, testing, packaging, and high‑speed manufacturing environment.
- Available to work various shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.
- Knowledge of all OSHA related training in a manufacturing environment.
- Beverage Packaging Quality industry experience.
- Knowledge of AS400, QAS, and NWA.
- 6S Training.
- Problem‑solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Think outside the box.
- Effective leadership skills such as conflict resolution, communication, decision making.
- Demonstrated good relations skills and ability to motivate or team with people.
- Excellent time‑management skills and multi‑tasking.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Generally works in a manufacturing, office, packaging, and warehouse environment.
- Exposed to light lifting and warehouse forklift traffic.
- Production noise level frequently loud.
