Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Electrician
Reporting directly to the Plant Electrical Engineer, the Electrician's responsibilities would include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various technical electronical/electronic systems on the production floor, in addition to electrical repair/needs throughout the building.
- Efficiently analyze and repair control systems and processes, electronic control devices and production equipment.
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements / Preferences
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
- Electrical Certification/Licensure
- Exhibits safety and quality as top priority.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, both as an independent contributor and as a team player
- Cross training / multi-skilling in other functions will be a basic expectation of any person hired.
- Detail oriented and very accurate.
- Candidates must be flexible to work any shift and OT as required.
Competencies
- Must possess working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC equipment, including installation, set-up, and programming.
- Have working knowledge of both process control systems and pneumatic process control systems, including their functions, set up, and programming.
- Computer knowledge as it applies to industrial use.
- Capable of working from schematics, diagrams, and electrical drawings for control analysis and to fabricate control systems as applied to control panels, their layout, and construction.
- Knowledgeable of all NEC and OSHA codes as applied to industry.
- Proficient at maintaining plant / facilities services.
- Knowledge and understanding of machine / equipment wiring to include low voltage DC 3 phase AC control and motor wiring.
- Problem solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs / platforms.
- Ability to climb ladders (to include rolling ladders), up to 20ft to perform work.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be exposed to lifting, moving machinery, and forklift traffic.
- Production noise level is frequently loud.
