Description

We are seeking an individual for an accounting position on our Team. We are looking for an individual with a good working knowledge of standard accounting practices, who will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and projects for our businesses. Your work will directly impact our company's financial operations. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task, can work independently as well as with a Team, and has excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with month-end close processes including scheduling and reporting.
  • Processing and verifying invoices, ensuring accurate coding and allocation of expenses.
  • Managing and reconciling vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Preparing and processing approvals and payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assisting in the reconciliation of the accounts payable general ledger.
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities to optimize payment terms with vendors.
  • Communicating effectively with vendors and managers, resolving inquiries and addressing issues.
  • Ensuring procedures and policies are followed.
  • Ensuring accurate input and documentation.
  • Accurate and timely processing.
  • Accurate reconciliation of transactions.
  • Assist with other accounting tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
  • A good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired

Skills and Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with AP/AR reconciliation.

The scheduled workdays are Monday through Friday, and the work hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm.

The starting hourly pay rate range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00+ and will be evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
