Accountant ​/ Controller

Position Summary

TCBX is seeking a dependable Accountant / Controller to manage the company’s accounting, payroll, financial reporting, taxes, and trucking-related filings.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare and post general journal entries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management.
• Assist with budgets, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Prepare information for corporate tax returns.
• File sales tax, payroll tax, PFML, and 1099 reporting.
• Prepare quarterly IFTA fuel tax returns.
• Prepare annual Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax Form 2290.
• Maintain MCS-150 and other trucking-related filings.
• Print delivery receipts at the end of each day.
• Assist with audits, insurance reporting, and outside accountants.
• Maintain confidentiality and strong internal financial controls.

• Accounting, bookkeeping, or controller experience.
• Knowledge of payroll, reconciliations, taxes, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Trucking or transportation accounting experience preferred.
• Organized, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy.
