Service Writer – Brainerd

Minnesota Inboard Water Sports is looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our Brainerd Service Department. Duties include assisting customers via phone, email and in person. Qualified candidates will have strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate with our customers and team in a positive manner. An understanding of the products we sell and service is a plus. This is a high volume, fast-paced environment, where the ideal candidates should be accustomed to working in high pressure situations.

Daily duties include but not limited to:

• Writing Repair Orders, scheduling service appointments, billing and electronic filing
• Assisting customers on the phone and through email with their various service needs
• Scheduling and dispatching work to technicians
• Processing of factory warranty claims
• Communicating with customers on the status of their boat repair or service, including pick ups and deliveries
• Communicating with customers to obtain approvals to perform additional services on their boat as noted by the technician

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is essential
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• General understanding and interest of products we sell and service
• Ability to understand what customers are looking for and communicate effectively with them
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to keep up with a demanding schedule
• Experience in customer facing administrative roles with a high attention to detail and organization

Skills:

• Must have strong customer service skills
• Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail, and a self-starter
• Proficient with Excel and e-mail
• Lightspeed EVO management software a plus
• Ability to learn quickly, strong work ethic, and great follow up
