The Senior EHS Specialist serves as a key technical resource responsible for advancing a proactive safety culture and ensuring environmental compliance across the site. This role partners closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to reduce risk, enhance compliance, and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Champion a culture of safety by engaging employees at all levels and promoting accountability for safe behaviors
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, tools, and resources
- Partner with site leadership to align operational goals with safety and environmental expectations
- Lead initiatives to improve safety performance and environmental sustainability
- Conduct audits, assessments, and data analysis to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and reporting obligations
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Stay current with OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate across departments to integrate EHS into daily operations and projects
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the EHS Director
Work Environment:
On‑site with occasional travel to other company locations
Job RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in EHS, environmental studies, engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in safety, environmental, or sustainability roles
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success influencing safety culture and driving continuous improvement initiatives
