Description

Under supervision and in accordance with procedures and systems, receive members in person and by telephone. Explain and promote all credit union services to members when required. Provide teller services to members and process all types of teller transactions, i.e., loan payments, withdrawals, night deposits and mail deposits. Provide members with information regarding the credit union's products and services.

Full-Time:
Available to work M-F 7:15‑5:45 location schedule dependent.

Pay Transparency

Position Requirements General Purpose

Under supervision and in accordance with procedures and systems, receive members in person and by telephone. Explain and promote all credit union services to members when required. Provide teller services to members and process all types of teller transactions, i.e., loan payments, withdrawals, night deposits and mail deposits. Provide members with information regarding the credit union’s products and services.

Fundamental Duties
  • Maintain the highest standards of Integrity, Personal Responsibility, Sense of Community, and Teamwork by self‑example within and outside Mid‑Minnesota Federal Credit Union.
  • Build member loyalty through an uncompromised commitment to meeting and exceeding member’s expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with credit union members by determining member needs and maximizing opportunities to sell additional credit union products and services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Handle member requests per member’s directions with complete accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Make decisions when accepting checks and adhere to established policy guidelines, reducing risk and monetary losses by following all procedures and monitoring restrictions while maintaining service standards.
  • Comply with all federal and NCUA regulations, including Reg CC, Bank Secrecy Act, Reg D, and Truth in Savings.
  • Receive share deposits and make share withdrawals and transfers, VISA credit card payments, VISA advances, loan payments, and mortgage payments.
  • Refer credit union services that best meet member’s financial needs, including product accounts and electronic delivery channels.
  • Provide official checks/money orders.
  • Redeem Savings Bonds.
  • Complete CTR reports when members exceed the threshold set by federal regulations.
  • Operate and balance coin machine.
  • Operate postage machine for outgoing mail, preparing and processing mail as needed.
  • Submit checks through our Check Imaging system.
  • Open and close the building daily, ensuring alarm system activation and deactivation. Process day‑end reports.
  • Maintain security, manage cash drawer, open and close the computer terminal; account for assigned cash and accurately balance to the computer balance sheet.
  • Balance inventory items and close out VISA advances at day end.
  • Identify and correct paperwork errors in a timely manner with supervisor’s help.
  • Explain credit union products and services to members and cross‑sell products and services when appropriate.
  • Communicate with members requiring assistance in account usage, balance inquiries, copy requests, change of address, and similar account usage, administering the appropriate procedures to process the items.

Must be flexible to work between 7:15 am‑5:45 pm Monday through Friday.
