Echocardiography Technologist

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Essentia Health as a Echocardiography Technologist (Echo Tech).

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of echo cardiographic studies in the echo lab, patient care units, procedural units, or surgical settings.
• Provide measurement and image data to cardiologists for interpretation.
• Perform other cardiovascular tests as required by the Essentia Health Non‑Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.

• Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
• New hire technologists must be registry eligible and become registered within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of hire or transfer.
• If Technical Director:
  Must have Pediatric Echocardiography certification (ARDMS).
• East Market:
  Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health insurer (Not required for East Brainerd Lakes).
• West Market:
  Employees working in North Dakota performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures must have current license on the North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire/transfer.

Job Location: St. Joseph's Medical Center (Brainerd/Baxter, MN)

Shift Rotation: Day Rotation (United States)

Shift Start/End: 0730 / 1600

Compensation: $40.56 – $60.84 per hour

FTE: 0.6

Weekends: Call on weekends, call on holidays

Call Obligations: Yes
