About This Position

The Air Care Flight Paramedic position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care to acute and critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre‑hospital setting and during inter‑facility transports by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of emergency medical services clinical practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics. This role requires a combination of advanced clinical skills, quick decision‑making, and the ability to work in high‑pressure environments.

This position requires proficiency in critical care and knowledge of advanced interventions necessary for critical patient management in the aircraft/ambulance and during transport.

The Flight Paramedic must also be familiar with aircraft operating procedures and safety practices.

Requirements Education
  • High School degree or equivalent (GED) required
  • Successful completion of paramedic training program from an accredited institution required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) current ALS experience as a Paramedic in a moderate to high call volume 911 agency.
  • Prior flight experience preferred.
