Join Barrett Petfood as a Full Time Mill Laborer in Brainerd, Minnesota, where every day brings new opportunities and challenges! This onsite position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $22.00 - $26.00, based on experience and shift differential.

As a new Mill Laborer at Barrett Petfood, you can expect an engaging and dynamic work environment where every day is filled with hands-on tasks. Your daily responsibilities will include operating machinery, mixing ingredients, and ensuring that our production processes run smoothly. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the mill, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality expectations.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with your team to troubleshoot any issues that arise, participating in problem-solving discussions to improve processes. The position requires you to follow safety protocols and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.

We have 2 shifts available:
Monday through Thursday, from 5 PM to 4 AM or Fri
-Sun 4PM
-4AM

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Guide semi-trailer into designated area
  • Complete incoming and outbound inspection reports
  • Sample raw materials
  • Receive in raw materials
  • Inventory/cycle counts
  • Assist in dumping bulk totes
  • Ensure proper ingredient weights, materials, and labeling as required
  • Report, document, and repair any discrepancies found within your work area.
  • Clean equipment and facilities

Physical requirements include:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
