The Material Handler I plays a key role in supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility by safely transporting, staging, and tracking materials to meet production and shipping needs. This role requires a high level of reliability, attention to detail, and accountability. The right person in this seat consistently supports workflow by ensuring accurate material movement, maintaining system integrity, and contributing to a safe and organized work environment.
They understand how their work directly impacts production flow, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Job Requirements:
- High school or equivalent
- Material Handling experience is required. Manufacturing knowledge and basic computer literacy skills are preferred. Communicates well, both written and verbal. Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical specifications.
- Basic computer literacy skills are required.
- Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Ability to climb in and out of the forklift frequently throughout the shift. Lifting various weights throughout the shift. Bending as required.
- Varying temperatures. Loud environments. Paint/chemical smells.
