Manufacturing Team Leader

TSG - The Sheridan Group, a DC-based strategic communications and public affairs firm, is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader to oversee small production teams supporting high-impact advocacy and communications projects. In this role, you will manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, coordinate workflows, and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency across deliverables. You'll train and mentor staff, implement process improvements, and track KPIs to meet strict timelines and standards.

Working in a collaborative, high-performance culture, you'll partner closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align production with complex policy and public affairs campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet quality, safety, and output targets
• Coordinate workflows, schedules, and resource allocation across small production teams
• Monitor KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards and documentation
• Train, coach, and mentor team members to build technical capabilities and accountability
• Partner with senior leaders to align production with project, client, and campaign timelines
• Support continuous improvement, lean practices, and data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate cross-functionally with communications, project, and operations staff
