• Salary range: $20.00 – $25.50
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• Additional weekend incentive of $1.25 per hour
• Shift incentive of $1.25 per hour for work from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
• Sign‑on bonus if eligibility requirements are met

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long‑term care. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The role includes assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital sign recording, psychosocial support, mobility using transfer techniques, range‑of‑motion exercises, food preparation, meal assistance, housekeeping, and participation in recreational programs.

The NA documents resident interactions, communicates changes in condition to the charge nurse, collects non‑invasive body fluid specimens, and may participate in committees and task forces as needed.

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state‑certified CNA within four months by enrollment in a training program.
• Completion of yearly department specific competency testing and maintenance of a record of continuing education credits; a minimum of 12 hours annually.
• Certifications required per department specifics.
• For applicable states, certification and registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Possibility of classification as a Sanford Category II driver requiring valid driver’s license and medical qualification per Sanford Driving Policy.
