Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. These cities, 125 miles north of Minneapolis, are at the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area and are one of the state’s top vacation destinations.

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BLS certification within one month.
• ACLS certification within one year.

• Lead Patient Care:
  Organize and deliver comprehensive care by managing all phases of the patient care process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Guide and Delegate:
  Act as a team leader by delegating care responsibilities to nursing staff based on their licensure, training, and role specifications.
• Contribute to a Greater Mission:
  Play a crucial role in advancing the facility’s and Essentia’s mission and goals, making a meaningful impact on the community we serve.
• Ensure Compliance:
  Adhere to the standards set by the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

• Adaptability:
  Floating RNs work in multiple areas of the hospital, covering shifts and providing care wherever there is a need.
• Flexibility:
  This role requires the ability to adapt quickly to different patient populations and clinical settings.
• Support:
  Float pool RNs help manage patient care needs during peak times, staff shortages, or special circumstances.
• Skill Variety:
  Exposure to diverse clinical environments allows float pool RNs to enhance their skills and experience in various specialties.
• Units RNs will Float to:
  Medical Unit, Med/Surg Unit, IMC/ICU, Emergency Department.
• Shift: 60 hours per pay period, 12‑hour overnight shifts 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every third weekend.

Permanent Night Rotation. Shift Start/End: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Compensation Range: $41.22 – $61.83 per hour. FTE: 0.75. Union:
St. Josephs MNA RNs (STJRN). Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500 – $10,000.

Job Location:

St. Josephs Medical Center. Shift Start/End: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500 – $10,000.
