Job Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant position supporting neurology practice at Brainerd Clinic, Brainerd, Minnesota. Work hours 7:30am – 5:00pm, Monday–Friday. No weekend, holiday, or on‑call rotations. Sign‑on incentive $2,500.
Key Responsibilities- Assist RN, physician, and other providers with direct patient care in an ambulatory setting.
- Perform routine assessments: measure vital signs, record patient histories, observe symptoms to aid diagnosis and monitoring.
- Support physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures by preparing equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring infection control.
- Administer prescribed medications, including injections and oral drugs; monitor for adverse reactions and document accurately.
- Collaborate with care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, coordinate follow‑up appointments and referrals.
- Conduct initial patient intake: gather medical history, update personal information, prepare patients for examination or diagnostics.
- LPN:
Current Minnesota LPN license. - CMA:
Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant, or completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification within one year of hire (must pass within two attempts). - Both licensures: AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within three months of hire.
- Education as required for licensure.

Hourly pay range $21.72–$32.58.
