Good Samaritan – Bethany
79‑bed long‑term skilled care and transitional care facility located in Brainerd, Minnesota, in the Heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
Shift & Compensation- Work Shift:
12 Hours – Day Shifts (United States) - Scheduled Weekly
Hours:
36 - Full Time – 72 Hours a bi‑weekly pay period
- Day Shift – 4:00am to 4:30pm
- Every Third Weekend and Rotating Holidays
- Additional weekend incentive of $1.25 an hour
- Additional shift incentive of $1.25 for any hours worked from 6:00pm to 6:00am
- Sign‑on Bonus of $10,000 (if eligibility requirements are met)
- Salary range: $39.00 – $48.00 per hour
- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
- Collaborate with residents, families and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
- Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise using age‑ and population‑specific standards.
- Provide care across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Coordinate care, conduct resident assessment, provide resident education, and perform nursing interventions.
- Serve as charge nurse when required, delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring tasks are within scope and the delegate’s competence.
- Provide assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable resident care and resolve care and service concerns.
- Operate within the scope and standards of nursing practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and state administrative rules.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred), including but not limited to commission on collegiate nursing education (CCNE), accreditation commission for education in nursing (ACEN), and national league for nursing commission for nursing education accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring, and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Obtain and subsequently maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
- Must be a licensed RN in the State of Minnesota.
