PositionFull-Time Quality Supervisor in Brainerd, MN. Onsite role collaborating with a passionate team of innovators dedicated to pet nutrition and quality. Leading quality assurance team, enhancing manufacturing processes, solving problems, maintaining customer focus.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Lead and support QA Technicians, acting as primary point of contact for troubleshooting and backup for QA roles.
- Oversee onboarding and training of QA staff, manage scheduling, timekeeping approvals, and ensure adequate QA coverage.
- Manage Quality Systems (SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs), SQF standards, conduct internal audits, and oversee Quality Control programs, including laboratory testing and data analysis.
- Oversee raw material and finished product testing, vendor compliance, batch record review, product release, and investigate deviations.
- Maintain customer and product specifications, trend quality data for continuous improvement, coordinate mock recalls, and support process improvements through research and technical quality operations.
Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- Bachelor's degree in food science or related field, or comparable experience in food manufacturing; experience in SQF or other GFSI food program required.
- Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel, email for reporting and analysis.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills for conveying complex information to management, vendors, and suppliers.
- Technical understanding of product inspections and testing methods including instrumentation testing for protein, moisture, fat, and microbiological tests.
- Attention to detail when reviewing documentation and data accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively and objectively with production staff, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at times.
