- Oversee the Quality Assurance team and manage all quality-related departmental activities
- Manage and maintain quality systems, ensuring adherence to QA policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the SQF system across the organization
- Lead SQF training initiatives and ensure all departments are trained and compliant with food safety standards
- Serve as the primary point of contact for pest control and chemical service providers
- Conduct and manage internal audits; prepare for and lead customer and regulatory audits
- Address and manage significant quality holds that may result in product loss, including investigation, documentation, and corrective actions
- Write, review, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and documentation
- Initiate purchase requisitions related to quality, food safety, and compliance needs
- Communicate non-routine quality-related costs and risks to leadership
- Implement discipline and corrective actions for Quality Assurance team members in alignment with company policies
- Collaborate with the Director on Quality Assurance compensation planning and departmental strategy
- Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in a quality management role within food or pet food manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of SQF and food safety regulations
- Experience leading audits and managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills

Salary: $75000 - $85000 per year
