Bell 407 Mechanic for USFS Fire Contract Description

Brainerd Helicopter Services Inc. is hiring a Bell
407 mechanic to support aerial firefighting contracts for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and USFS.

This is a permanent, full-time position. The schedule is set in January for the entire firefighting season (generally March
- October); the winter maintenance schedule is set following firefighting season (November-March).

The work schedule is 12 on/12 off during the fire season and generally the same for winter maintenance with slight modifications to work around the major holidays.

The Minnesota DNR contract is located at Cambridge, MN, March
- June. The USFS Contract is located at Swan Valley, , June to October. The Annual / heavy maintenance is conducted at our home base in Brainerd, MN, November
- March.

Duties:

• Function as the mechanic / fuel service vehicle operator on a Bell 407 for a MN DNR/USFS fire contract.
• Perform annual maintenance on rotation schedule during non-contract period.

Job Requirements:

• A&P License with no enforcement action (2 years required)
• 12 months' experience maintaining Bell 407 or Bell 407 factory school
• 3 months' field experience on the Bell 407
• Field experience on Rolls Royce C47 Engines
• Must be able to obtain USFS card for Bell 407 (prior agency carded preferred)
• CDL (Class A, B or C with Hazmat endorsements preferred, tank optional)
• Familiar with aircraft manufacturers' maintenance manuals and STCs
• Able to make proper log entries as required by the Federal Aviation Regulations
• Able to work in a team environment, meet deadlines as necessary, and work independently with good time management and organizational skills
• Bell 206 series experience preferred.
