Full‑time Yard Dog Driver in Brainerd, Minnesota. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the efficient transport of materials within the yard. Competitive pay ranging from $20.50 to $25.50 per hour, based on shift differential and experience.

• 1ST SHIFT: MON – THURS 6AM – 5PM
• 1ST WKND SHIFT: FRI – SUN 4AM – 4PM
• 2ND WKND SHIFT: FRI – SUN 4PM – 4AM

As a new Yard Dog Driver at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a dynamic and engaging work environment. Your daily tasks will include:

• Efficiently moving trailers in and out of loading docks, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups within the yard.
• Conducting pre‑trip inspections on your vehicle to maintain safety standards.
• Collaborating closely with the production team to facilitate smooth operations.
• Communicating any logistical concerns that arise.
• Tracking trailers and inventory of the trailer lot.
• Ensuring Mill has bulk ingredients loaded per schedule.
• Communicating with Operator and verifying pit switchover, ingredients needed, and amounts verified.
• Unloading and loading flour out of a hopper bottom trailer.
• Checking seals and verifying paperwork and condition of trailers.
• Taking samples from front and back of hoppers.
• Moving van trailers.
• Staging trailers in heated shed.
• Inventory including FIFO.
• Cleaning unload bay, trucks, and trailers.
• Toting overheads out when necessary.
• Assisting in handling bulk totes when necessary.

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
