Do you have an analytical or problem-solving mind-set and you're looking for an exciting opportunity within a busy engineering/maintenance team?
We are currently on the lookout for an ambitious Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will interact with several departments to ensure that our manufacturing processes continues to deliver our products as efficiently as possible through efficient preventative maintenance, emergency breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing areas. You will deliver manufacturing targets by ensuring the process equipment is maintained to a high standard.
The maintenance team will assist in projects to deliver quality, productivity, safety and cost reductions.
Duties will include:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production and site equipment
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on machinery, including control panels, PLCs, and inverter drives
* Support mechanical maintenance activities where required (e.g. bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics)
* Respond rapidly to breakdowns, minimising downtime and production disruption
* Work on electrical installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
* Fault find on automation systems, including PLCs (e.g. Siemens, Fanuc)
* Complete all maintenance records accurately using a PC based system
* Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health & safety regulations
* Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
* Contribute to improving machine efficiency, reliability, and performance
Key
Skills:
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills
* Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge
* Experience with PLC fault finding (programming experience desirable but not essential)
* Knowledge of 3-phase systems, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems
* Understanding of health & safety standards (e.g. safe isolation, risk assessments)
* Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
* Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, 18th Edition or equivalent)
Rotating shift pattern - 39 hour working week.
Early
Shift: Monday to Thursday 5.30am to 14:00 Friday finish at 1.00pm
Late
Shift: Monday to Thursday 2.00pm - 10.30pm Friday 1.00pm - 8.30pm
