Job Description
Withum’s Dealerships team is seeking a manager to join our Braintree, MA office. The Dealerships group provides tax, assurance and advisory services to vehicle/heavy truck/equipment/recreational vehicle etc. dealerships across the country. This is an exciting leadership opportunity which affords the candidate the ability to work with industry experts while being part of a growing firm.
How You’ll Spend Your Time- Providing supervision, training and support to engagement staff and promoting open communication to the engagement partner.
- Inspiring, developing, mentoring, and retaining staff while providing challenging assignments.
- Managing client projects, including reviewing and supervising the preparation of compilation and review level financial statements.
- Ensuring timely response to client questions.
- Collaborating cross‑functionally with our tax, assurance, accounting, and advisory groups to identify opportunities to fully service the client and their families.
- Remaining current on technical and industry developments and standards, evaluating the potential impact on clients’ business and financial position.
- Participating in client proposals and identifying new business development opportunities.
- Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or a business‑related field of study.
- CPA designation required or MST (Master of Science in Taxation), JD, or LLM.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a CPA firm.
- Strong tax technical background with curiosity and willingness to stay current on all key tax law changes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast‑paced, interactive, results‑based team environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm well to client management.
Salary range: $140,000–$175,000 annually. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program for eligible roles based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, and the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.
