About the Role
We are looking for a Not‑For‑Profit Audit Senior to join our Braintree, MA office. You will lead audit, review and compilation engagements for client organizations, including nonprofits, trade and membership organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead planning and execution of audit, review or compilation engagements.
- Oversee day‑to‑day engagement operations, including staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork and financial reporting.
- Supervise and mentor engagement staff and promote open communication with engagement manager and partner.
- Perform and oversee attest procedures specific to nonprofits, focusing on trade and membership organizations.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolution; recommend solutions for legal, regulatory and accounting issues.
- Review general ledger accounts for accurate entries.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines.
- Create and track engagement budgets and identify inefficiencies.
- Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel.
- Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred.
- At least 2‑3 years of public accounting experience with leadership of multiple engagements and staff supervision.
- Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills; familiarity with US GAAP for nonprofit engagements.
- Excellent client service and communication skills; ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced, results‑based environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills; strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of IRS Form 990/990T and related state returns (preferred, not required).
- Experience with CCH audit tools (preferred, not required).
The base salary ranges from $85,000 to $100,000. In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package and a bonus program based on individual and firm performance. For more information on benefits, visit our website.
