Manager, Project Development

Competitive Power Ventures, Inc. (“CPV”) is seeking a Manager, Project Development to join the Renewable Development Department in Braintree, MA.

• Plan, develop, and execute the development program for identified projects.
• Negotiate necessary development agreements.
• Manage the permitting process and resolve other development activities.
• Develop local community support for projects.
• Manage relationships and develop commercial agreements with potential off‑takers.
• Work closely with external consultants and internal departments (engineering, finance, energy management/origination, external affairs, legal, asset management).
• Update management on project progress, action items, and budget.

• Minimum 4‑6 years of relevant energy project development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business; MBA preferred.
• Self‑starter, organized, able to work with personnel at all levels; strong business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
• Strong financial skills and understanding of profit & loss, pro forma modeling, and NPV/IRR analysis.
• Strong understanding of real estate matters and complexities.
• Ability to gather, organize, and systematically analyze complex information.
• Effective problem‑solving skills: ability to work from concept to analytics, identify alternatives, and develop unique solutions.
• Excellent writing, communications, presentation, interpersonal, financial analysis, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel 30‑50 % as necessary.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background and financial credit check.

The base annual salary range is $135,000 – $165,000, contingent on experience and role responsibilities.

• Annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
• Paid time off: 120 hours per year, earned monthly, plus up to 13 company paid holidays.
