Step Program Paraprofessional
The STEP Program is a supportive classroom setting designed to meet the needs of students with social-emotional challenges. The paraprofessional provides specialized support to individual students and small groups, assisting with access to daily classroom activities, curriculum, and social-emotional learning.
Responsibilities include implementing positive behavior supports, supporting student safety, participating in physical intervention when necessary, and collecting student data to monitor progress. Candidates with experience supporting students with social-emotional disabilities, implementing behavior support plans, and delivering instruction based on the principles of behavior analysis are preferred.
Salary:
Salary scale can be found in the BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement's recent MOA.
