Braintree Public Schools Substitute Teacher

The Braintree Public Schools will employ substitute teachers, to the extent possible, who meet the requirements for teacher appointments and will assign teachers substitute-teaching positions on the basis of their areas of competence. The Braintree High School building substitute will be expected on a daily basis to provide educational services, rather than to assume merely a student-supervisory role. The building substitute will be assigned responsibilities by the high school administration, based on the needs of the building, and will be provided with as much support as possible.

Qualifications:

• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience strongly encouraged.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively and implement instructional plans.
• Flexibility, dependability, and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
