Our client is seeking an Energy Transition Manager to support the development and execution of innovative energy infrastructure projects focused on decarbonization and the future of power generation. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including natural gas generation, hydrogen production, carbon capture, and other emerging energy technologies.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in advancing project development efforts, coordinating with stakeholders, and supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of development strategies for active energy projects.
  • Manage and negotiate development agreements to support project advancement and successful implementation.
  • Coordinate permitting activities and proactively resolve development-related challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including customers, consultants, regulators, and community partners.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, finance, legal, and other internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct financial analysis, pro forma modeling, and project evaluations to support investment decisions.
  • Monitor project budgets, compliance requirements, schedules, and key deliverables.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and management updates regarding project progress and milestones.
  • Support stakeholder engagement efforts and represent projects at meetings and industry events as needed.
  • Travel periodically to project sites and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in energy project development; 7+ years preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the development of large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with pro forma modeling, NPV analysis, and IRR calculations.
  • Understanding of U.S. power markets, Independent System Operators (ISOs), power generation economics, and energy market fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of permitting, project development, and stakeholder engagement processes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background and financial credit check.
