Machine Maintenance and Facilities Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and actively participate in hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of CNC, screw machines, manual equipment, assembly systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership in electrical systems, including motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control panels.
• Plan, schedule, and manage the preventive maintenance program and CMMS/work order system.
• Diagnose recurring equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee building and utility systems including HVAC, boilers, compressed air, wastewater treatment, and electrical distribution.
• Direct and train maintenance and facilities personnel; communicate priorities and expectations.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and capital or automation‑related upgrades.
• Enforce safety, environmental, and security regulations; provide on‑call support as required.
• Support TPM and continuous improvement initiatives; act as backup for wastewater treatment operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, facilities engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background with working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and controls.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with CMMS systems; JDE experience a plus.
• Knowledge of TPM and continuous improvement practices preferred.
• Wastewater treatment certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills, high integrity, and ability to work evenings/weekends when needed.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including loud noise, high temperatures, and confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and climb for extended periods.
