Power Generation Developer (Manager / Director Level)
Location: Braintree, MA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $125,000 - $225,000
About the OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced Power Generation Developer to lead the development and execution of large-scale power generation projects. This role will focus on advancing innovative energy infrastructure initiatives, including natural gas generation, hydrogen production, and carbon capture projects.
Powering this exciting opportunity for a development professional with a strong background in energy infrastructure, project execution, permitting, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving projects from early-stage development through execution while working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners
Key Responsibiliti- esLead the planning and execution of development strategies for power generation project
- s.Manage projects throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring alignment with investment objectives, budgets, and timeline
- s.Negotiate development agreements and oversee permitting activities to support successful project executio
- n.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, regulators, consultants, customers, and project partner
- s.Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and external affairs teams to ensure seamless project advancemen
- t.Develop community engagement strategies and cultivate local support for project initiative
- s.Conduct financial analysis, including pro forma modeling, NPV analysis, and IRR calculations, to evaluate project viability and support investment decision
- s.Monitor project schedules, budgets, and milestones while providing regular updates to leadershi
- p.Support commercial discussions and relationships with project off-takers and strategic partner
- s.Travel as needed to project sites, stakeholder meetings, and development activities (up to 40%
- ons Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or a related fie
- ld.6+ years of energy project development experience for Manager-level candidat
- es.12+ years of experience preferred for Director-level candidat

Proven track record developing and advancing power generation or large-scale energy infrastructure projec - ts.
Experience managing permitting processes and navigating complex project development environmen - ts.
Strong financial acumen, including experience with pro forma modeling, NPV analysis, IRR calculations, and project economi - cs.
Knowledge of U.S. power markets, ISOs, power generation economics, and energy development incentiv - es.
Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and organizational skil - ls.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneous - ly.
