Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Braintree, Massachusetts. This role involves assisting long-standing clients with individual and corporate tax return preparation during the tax season. The position offers a flexible schedule, requiring 20-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

- Collaborate with clients to gather required financial information and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations in all return filings.

- Utilize Quick Books for bookkeeping tasks and financial record management when needed.

- Offer thorough advice to clients regarding tax planning and strategies.

- Address client inquiries and resolve issues related to tax preparation.

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.

- Work efficiently to meet deadlines during the busy tax season.

- Assist in utilizing tax software to streamline preparation processes. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.

- Knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for bookkeeping and financial management.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

- Familiarity with tax preparation software (experience with specific software preferred but not required).

- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
