About the role
Channel Fish is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts & Inventory Specialist to support our maintenance and production operations. This role is responsible for managing the ordering, tracking, and organization of parts and supplies critical to keeping our equipment and facility running efficiently.
This is a hands‑on role that requires strong coordination with maintenance, production, and vendors to ensure the right parts are available at the right time—minimizing downtime and supporting operational continuity.
What you'll do Inventory Management- Maintain accurate inventory levels of maintenance parts, equipment components, and supplies
- Perform routine cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Organize and maintain stockroom to ensure accessibility, cleanliness, and efficiency
- Track usage trends and identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels
- Source and order parts, materials, and supplies based on maintenance and operational needs
- Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
- Monitor open orders and ensure timely delivery of critical parts
- Identify alternative vendors or solutions when needed to prevent delays
- Partner closely with Maintenance and Production teams to anticipate parts needs
- Respond quickly to urgent requests to support equipment uptime
- Maintain records of purchases, inventory levels, and vendor information
- Assist in establishing reorder points and inventory controls
- Support inventory practices aligned with food safety and audit requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, BRC standards)
- Ensure proper storage and handling of parts in accordance with company standards
- Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal reviews
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory, parts coordination, purchasing, or a related role
- Experience in a manufacturing, food production, or industrial environment strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with inventory systems, ERP platforms, or Excel
- Strong communication and vendor coordination skills
- Experience supporting maintenance or facilities teams
- Knowledge of mechanical parts, equipment, or industrial supplies
- Familiarity with food safety or regulated production environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement within production and storage areas
- Pay Range: $26-28/hour
- Pay Type: Hourly, non-exempt
