Coordinator of Family Ministry; PT

St. Isidore Parish, Lakeville, Middleboro, Rochester, is seeking a creative and energetic individual to fill the position of part-time (30-hour)-Coordinator of Family Ministry to join its team. The successful candidate will have excellent time management skills and experience in family faith formation. St. Isidore Parish is committed to evangelizing and forming families of faith.

This is an onsite position, reporting directly to the pastor.

• Design and plan monthly family ministry gatherings for children in grades 1-7 and their parents (up to four sessions per month needed depending on enrollment). Past session plans are available as a resource.
• Recruit, support, and train volunteers for family ministry to include a curriculum design team, group facilitators, greeters, set-up and meal help
• Provide logistical support for family ministry gatherings including ordering pizza/drinks, organizing supplies, making copies, and supervising hall set-up/clean-up.
• Lead the monthly ministry gatherings as a catechist and/or supervisor to volunteers
• Ensure compliance with all child safety protocols by all volunteers and participants
• Integrates child safety into Family Ministry, utilizing the Second Step program or other archdiocesan-approved programs
• Maintain database in Parish Soft of registered participants
• Attend RCAB Faith Formation meetings
• Attend parish staff meetings

• Minimum of five years’ experience in parish faith formation as a Catechist; experience in family faith formation preferred
• Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing
• Bachelor's degree required in theology, ministry, or related field (MA preferred - will consider those candidates with appropriate experience)
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Access), and Parish Soft, a plus
• Has a love for Jesus Christ and His Church and is able to express that love and relationship through discussion with others
• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Catholic Church teachings with particular emphases in the areas of evangelization and discipleship
• Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation
